Unknown Sender - Ojai
Film Festival Contest

Make a 1-3 minute UNKNOWN SENDER short film in conjunction with the Ojai Film Festival, Steven E. de Souza, and Scripped

All entries must emulate the UNKNOWN SENDER "found footage" conceit of "faux reality", etc... which end in a Hitchcockian twist or shocking reveal. The "found footage" could be a home video gone horribly wrong, an outtake from a news broadcast, something captured on a security camera, a download from the Internet, or a piece of film long lost to history (until you "found" it!) - the possibilities are endless. You can make it look as professional as the faux-documentary footage of "District 9" or as ragged as the faux-"amateur" footage of "Paranormal Activity", as long as it plays as "real" and "unscripted".

All entries must be between 1 and 3 minutes long (not including credits), appear to be "found footage", and must reference the Ojai Film Festival in some fashion, whether in dialogue, setting, a Festival poster on the wall, a message on an answering machine - use your imagination! In addition to the Contest Winners and Honorable Mentions, there will be a special Juror's Prize for the best UNKNOWN SENDER entry made during, and at, the Festival itself.

Remember, your film doesn't necessarily have to be "about" the Festival per se, but feature it: The shocking amateur video of an escaped shark in the hotel pool during the Festival qualifies just as much as the shocking "Ima let you finish" interruption of an acceptance speech at the Awards Ceremony.
